Course Goal / Objective
Gain knowledge and experience about the effects of nutrition on yield and quality, physiological distortions, nutrient deficiency symptoms and fertilization program in citrus fruits.
Course Content
Problems caused by wrong and excessive or insufficient nutrition in citrus, their effects on fruit yield and quality; physiological disorders originating from plant nutrients; necessary precautions for elimination of physiological disorders; symptoms that occur in deficiency and excess of plant nutrients; leaf analysis and evaluation of its results; preparation of fertilization program according to leaf analysis results; fertilizer types and contents given from the soil and sprayed on leaf; application times and doses of fertilizers
