Course Goal / Objective

To teach the distribution of genetic resources in the world and in Turkey, and their features and preservation.

Course Content

The importance of genetic resources, distribution of vine species and wild vine populations in the world and in Turkey and their characteristics, preservation of grapevine genetic resources, studies related with grapevine genetic resources, introduction of local and regional grape varieties in Turkey. Examples of important vine collections in the world
