Course Goal / Objective

To enable students to comprehend the mutual interaction between economic activities and environment in terms of social welfare of current and future generations; to introduce poicies and analysis tools for the use, protection and development of natural resources and the environment; the ability to analayze and interpret the current environmental issues through economic approach.

Natural resources and environmental economics; definition, scope, basic concepts and issues, Characteristics of natural resources and environment, market, externalities and market imperfections, solutions for externalities, The economic principles of Oil and mining management, Renewable biological sources, Interaction between agriculture and environment
