Course Goal / Objective

The application of Remote Sensing and GIS which play an importanat role in todays agriculture will be explained. The basic information on remote sensing GIS technologies and different methodologies are presented. The results of applications will be interpreted and thier efficient use are discussed.

Course Content

The principles of Remote Sensing and GIS. Sensors and their spectral charateristics. Soil, vegetation and water surfaces reflectance charateristics. Image processing methologies and classification techniques in Remote Sensing. Evaluation of results and accuracy assesments. Definition of GIS and data sources. data entryand arrangement. Data analysis methodologies. Presentation and interpretation of results.i
