Course Goal / Objective

Sociology in Turkey will be discussed, the key ideas of sociology in Turkey will be analyzed, the main work and the historical development of sociology in Turkey will be examined.

Course Content

By analyzing the basic ideas of Turkish sociology and Turkish sociology,to have knowledge about basic exercises of sociology in Turkey to learn the historical development of sociology in Turkey.

LO01 It has sufficient infrastructure regarding philosophy group and educational sciences and follows the legislation (law, regulation, circular, etc.), core values and principles related to the profession, acts in accordance with them, and knows their rights in terms of occupational safety and social security.
LO02 Uses theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of philosophy and educational sciences to produce solutions to educational problems.
LO03 Identify, define, design the related solutions, select and apply analytical methods and modeling techniques suitable for this purpose.
LO04 Explains theories, models, principles and generalizations about philosophy, psychology, sociology and logic and explains the basic principles, events, facts and processes of these fields in the light of these generalizations.
LO05 Know the individual, environmental and social factors affecting interpersonal relations. Gains the ability of effective listening, receiving and giving constructive feedback, creative problem solving skills by using the knowledge gained and can use these skills in the professional field.
LO06 It has the competence of questioning, evaluation, decision making, analysis and synthesis, linking events, comparing, analyzing, looking at problems from different perspectives, seeing alternatives, flexible and versatile thinking, logical thinking and historical, cultural, social, etc. realize the effects of problems in the field of philosophy.
LO07 It organizes activities for field teaching and develops appropriate teaching materials. Selects and uses educational technologies necessary for educational activities.
LO08 Examines and evaluates concepts, ideas, and scientific methods related to teaching profession and educational technology, diagnoses, analyzes and discusses problems and issues, develops recommendations based on scientific findings and evidence.
LO09 Knows the basic concepts of development; know the physical, mental and psycho-social characteristics of childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Also knows the elements and features needed to measure the psychological characteristics of the individual.
LO10 It searches resources to access information, uses databases and other information resources, and evaluates the accuracy and freshness of information obtained from different sources. Knows ways to access information such as archive, library, internet, museum, research centers and use them effectively.
LO11 They have the skills of learning to learn, self-regulation, lifelong learning, critical thinking, creative thinking, logical thinking.
LO12 It complies with professional and ethical rules and takes part in cooperative practices. It also embraces and acts in accordance with democratic, social, scientific, cultural and moral values.
