Course Goal / Objective
The goal of the course is to teach the natural and environmental conditions of the Lower, Middle and Upper Palaeolithic of Anatolia and its neighbors, and the related changes of cultural social and economic conditions within the geographical scope of the course.
Course Content
The Palaeolithic, from the first appearance of humans to around 10 thousand years ago, is the period which witnessed human evolution and the formation of cultures. The experiences of this long period were not the same in all parts of the world. The geographical situation of Anatolia also made probable during the Palaeolithic the different behavior of people in disparate geographies. The natural conditions - geography, environmental and climatic circumstances - of Anatolia and the surroundig regions during the Palaeolithic are considered and taught in the course.
