Course Goal / Objective

Solving problems in agriculture sector with the help of the basic principles of economics; interpreting and evaluating activity results in agriculture and agricultural corporations

Course Content

Basic concepts and terms about agricultural economics, development period of agriculture, agricultural sector and and specialities of commodities; Agriculture and economical development, Agriculture in Turkey and World: Fundamental concepts and principles of Agriculture: Agricultural production factors and features: Analyzing annual reports of agricultural corporations: preparing balance sheets and analyze. Management of agricultural corporations; Agricultural marketing, Agriculture and food policies, Cooperatives in Agriculture

LO01 Gain the sufficient equipment to determine the challenges about the diseases, pests and weeds in plant health and identify those agents.
LO02 Decide to the best and economic strategy by using knowledge to solve the challenges in plant protection and keep safe the protection of natural and sustainable sources.
LO03 Gain the ability to communicate with farmers and organizations dealing with agriculture and be able to teach his professionals to them
LO04 Provides to apply practical control strategies safely and interpret the results; prescribe the pesticides in case of using chemical control.
LO05 Obtain the skill to choose and use modern technical tools in plant protection.
LO06 Skills on using a laboratory, identifying of the diseases, pests or weeds in laboratory conditions, analyzing, determination and interpret of the results and prepare reports.
