Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach basic botany knowledge and usage areas to first year students.
Course Content
Botany and sub-branches of botany, differences between plants and animals, chemical compounds of plants; structure, form and functions of plant cells; vegetable tissues, primary and secondary meristems; continuous tissues, protective tissue, basic tissue, support tissue, conduction tissue, secretory tissue; vegetative organs, stem, stem, leaf; generative organs, flowers, fruits, seeds; general characteristics of large plant groups (algae, mushrooms, mosses, ferns, seed plants); growth, development and movement events in plants;
