Course Goal / Objective

To give the student macromoleculs structures, DNA analysis, DNA repair systems, proteomic, genomic, antisens oligonucleotids, molecular diagnostics

Course Content

Covers topics Structure and replication of DNA, DNA repcilation enzymes, DNA sequencing, Resctriction endonuclease enzymes, protein isolation techniques and prufication, Techniques of DNA and protein analyses (Agarose gel electrophoresis, PAGE, Isoelectric focusing, two dimensional electrophoresis, gradient PAGE), DNA repair mechanisms (SOS, excision, photoreactivation, post replicative repair), proteomic, genomic, gene therapy, antisense oligonucleotide therapy, recombinant vaccines (Recombinant DNA and viral vaccines)
