Course Goal / Objective
To inform the students about the methods of biochemical analysis and to give the laboratory skills about the application of basic biochemical analysis techniques. At the end of the course students are expected to acquire skills in basic biochemical analysis techniques and applications.
Course Content
Qualitative and quantitative determinations of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, as well as calorie quantitative sugar and protein identification; protein identification in urine; serum lipid analysis, total lipid and cholesterol determination, renal function tests, urine and serum creatinine assay; liver function tests; transaminases, bilirubin metabolism; lactate dehydrogenase enzyme design; immunoassay model application and immunodiffusion test; Analysis of proteins by PAGE and SDS-PAGE.
