Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with information about the basic principles of physiopathology of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and congestive heart failure, the drugs used in these diseases and the rational use of these drugs.

LO03 The pharmacokinetic properties of drugs used in the treatment of hypertension, effect mechanisms, side effects, contraindications.
LO04 Know the pharmaceutical dosage forms of drugs used in hypertension treatment and explain their use to patients.
LO05 Gets knowledge about the hypertension prescription and provide consultancyto patients.
LO06 Know the pathophysiology of congestive heart failure.
LO07 Classify drugs used in the treatment of congestive heart failure.
LO08 Know the pharmacokinetic properties of drugs used in congestive heart failure, the mechanisms of action, side effects and contraindications.
LO09 Know the pharmaceutical dosage forms of drugs used in congestive heart failure and explain their use to patients.
LO10 Gets knowledge about the congestive heart failure prescription and provide consultancyto patients.
