Course Goal / Objective
It is aimed to give information about substance abuse and drug abuse.
Course Content
Drug abuse, definition and types of drug and substance dependence, psychic and physical dependence, addiction criteria, withdrawal syndrome, tolerance, psychosocial factors on addiction formation, classification of addictive substances and drugs, alcohol and solvent dependence, barbiturate dependence, opioid type dependence, heroin dependence, cocaine dependence, lsd dependence, khat type dependence, other addictive types, addiction prevention and treatment.
