Course Goal / Objective

In this course student, learn pesticide application methods used in chemical control, pesticide formulations, effective factors on droplet depositions due to target surface, factors affecting pesticide drift, liquid atomization methods, selection, operation and maintenance of plant protection machines

Course Content

In this course, student learns the following chapters; chemical control method as a part of IPM in pest, disease and weed control, pesticide formulations, target surfaces, spray droplets, hydraulic nozzles, manually carried hydraulic sprayers, , tractor driven hydraulic sprayers, air assisted field and orchard sprayers, controlled droplet application technique (CDA), Chemical applications with electrostatically charged spray, spray drift, seed treatment and space treatment machines, fogging, injection, fumigation and other techniques, calibration of plant protection machines and selection and maintenance of plant protection machines
