Course Goal / Objective

Two-dimensional studies (orthographic drawings, perspectives), the ability to give the effect of the third dimension more effectively, and the development of painting and shadowing skills of the students with various techniques.

Course Content

Graphite: Definition, components, stiffness and qualities Paper used: Classifications Graphic techniques: Drawing with a graphite pen (how to hold a pencil, blending, erasing, general cleaning) Modeling: Shading techniques, simple shapes and composition drawings pattern expressions, interior and interior exercises

LO01 Explain the concept of graphite and used materials (paper, pulp eraser).
LO02 They will be able to apply graphite techniques (how to hold, blend, erase, general cleaning).
LO03 They will be able to show simple shapes and compositions with different shading techniques.
LO04 They will be able to apply materials and pattern drawings, reinforcement and interior drawing on the object by using colored pencil painting techniques.

2 Graphite techniques; Penholding, blending, wiping, general cleaning, gray background, textured background, water dissolution. Applied expression.
3 Value and Modeling. Theoretical expression
4 Linear line and point study Homework: Circle and spiral work. Applied expression.
5 Light and Shadow: Light types, Light direction, Lighting style. Shadow varieties, tonal gradients, perspective of shadows. Applied expression.
6 Cube description with scanning method Homework: Cube shading with four different techniques Applied expression.
7 A desired technique is to study a selected object. Applied expression.
8 Mid-Term Exam Evaluation
9 Sketch study: interior design of interior interior architecture section. Applied expression.
10 Color paint techniques; Lines and colors, blends of colors, intense colors, tones. Applied expression.
11 Color drawings; Surface expressions (metal, chrome plating, glass, fabric). Applied expression.
