Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to have knowledge about different aesthetic, art, industrial and intellectual trends in the history of cinema in national and international context.

Aesthetic and intellectual tendencies, theories, applications, discussions and sample films in the history of national and international cinema

LO03 It explores the evolution of the cyberpunk genre from literature to cinema, its social and philosophical critical aspects, and example films.
LO04 It critically discusses the film industry within the framework of the Culture Industry Theory.
LO05 It classifies certain subgenres in the history of cinema.
LO06 It highlights the differences between commercial cinema and counter-cinema theory.
LO07 Gives information about the history of Turkish animation cinema
LO08 Describes the possibilities and controversial aspects of the digital cinema industry
LO09 Makes a presentation about the film industry, film form and content, using the topics covered in the course
