Course Goal / Objective

Observation of nature, recognition of organic and inorganic forms, abstraction, interpretation and reconstruction. To know the basic art elements and principles, to use them in the design process. Comprehend the importance of visual thinking and creativity in designing. To adopt the importance of ethical principles in this process.

Course Content

This course includes elements (line, texture, form, space, etc.) and principles (rhythm, movement, balance, ratio-proportion, contrast, emphasis, unity, diversity, etc.) that regulate the work of art. By creating content and form relations with these principles and elements, original and creative designs are created. In practice, conceptual thinking is linked to artistic thinking and a connection is established between different disciplines. The importance of ethical principles. In addition, a portfolio is created at the end of the period.
