Course Goal / Objective

The ability of recognizing and application about the awareness of protection of historic environment and the space culture.

Course Content

Turkish house architecture residential and general theories and concepts. Socio - Cultural and Regional Components which affect traditional Turkish house Properties. Properties to be maintained in culture in the regional architecture and housing. Outdoor Unit of the Turkish House (Turkish Chamber) and Other Places, Room Layout, garden floor / ground layers in the organization, Floor Plan Types and main typologies;Turkish House Planimeters, multiplicity, Loft Style, Front layout and facade elements, design and construction techniques methods, styles, housing examples from different regions,Distribution by Region of Turkey Home and Regional Differences. Rooms in terms of spatial organization, The current use and conservation issues, traditional housing types and examples,
