Course Goal / Objective
The aims of the course are to raise the academic perfection of students through gaining awareness and knowledge on history of science and philosophy, raise liberal education level, develop discussion skills, gain confidence, develop skills to solve problem and the ability to look at the events from different angles.
Course Content
Science, technology and philosophy concepts, relations among science, technology and philosopy, science in ancient civilizations, science in medieval Europe and Islamic civilization, renaissance, reform and modern science, science in the age of enlightenment, contemporary science, scientific method and phases, importance of science, science in engineering, university concept.
