Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce the technical textiles and its areas of use, information about conventional and high performance fibers, technichal fabric production techniques, coating, lamination and the production of composite materials.
Course Content
The importance of science, technology, innovation and research and development in textile, new textile cycle(NTC) and the priority areas of textile. The concept and design functions in technical textiles, Key application areas. Raw materials used for technichal textile desing and production, Technichal textile design and production, Coating textile surfaces and features, Laminates textile surfaces(fabrics) and features, Geotextiles and applications, Medical textiles, Industrial textiles(tire cord fabrics and filtratşon equipment), Surfaces-based technical textiles and nonwovens, Quality control in technichal textiles.
