Course Goal / Objective

To define the types, structure and running principals of compressors, to describe working principles of hyperbaric chambers, types of chambers, ancillary equipment of the chambers, managing hyperbaric treatments, to develop the skills to transfer personnel or patients inside or outside of chamber, to provide essential knowledge to use medical lock, to prepare patients for hyperbaric treatments, to apply safety procedures, to describe hyperbaric treatment protocols, to describe how to manage emergencies during hyperbaric treatments, to understand national regulations concerning recompression chambers and treatment, to applysurface decompression procedures.

Course Content

Structure, types and maintenance of compressors, structures of pressure chambers, equipment and security measures, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and recompression treatment tables, indications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hyperbaric treatment management, national legislation, surface decompression application.
