Course Goal / Objective

Orientation is a service that needs to be carried out during the first week of education, but adaptation to the new situation takes a longer time. For this reason, it is necessary to teach the students the information they need, where and how they can access them when they need this information in the future.

Course Content

Introducing various units in our university, using injuries. Explaining what kind of rights students have in the university and passing course and discipline instructions.

LO01 Due to the fact that the orientation service is both adaptive and preventive (academic failure, psychological incompatibility, legal problems etc. that students may experience in the future), special attention should be paid to delivering this program to each of our students who have become part of our institution by choosing our university.
LO02 Since the orientation program requires the cooperation and participation of all institutional staff due to the nature of the service, it should be carried out with the participation and cooperation of all academic and administrative staff in the unit.
LO03 At the end of the program, a program evaluation and need assessment study should be carried out in order to determine the effectiveness of the program, the level of satisfaction of the students regarding the program and what are the issues they need in the orientation program and thus to improve the quality of the service.
LO04 Since one of the main objectives of the orientation program is to meet the lecturers of the students, it is more suitable for the purpose of the study to include all the lecturers in the relevant unit (department / department, etc.).
LO05 The main aim of the study is to learn the names and places of the units such as classrooms and laboratories where they will receive training in the coming days, and the rules regarding the use of these units.
LO06 Department and canteen facilities in the vicinity of the presentation, which explains the central cafeteria (cafeteria) and the conditions for using it, prepared by the Health, Culture and Sports Department.
LO07 Department secretariat, editorial, faculty student affairs etc. informing the units that the student should apply from time to time and when to apply to these units.
LO08 Based on the presentation prepared by the Registrar's Office, it will be prepared and used to contain the necessary information for the students enrolled in the relevant program.
