Course Goal / Objective
This aim of this course is to analyze Turkey's relations with the EU from political, economical, cultural and social dimensions. The course provides the historical background of these relations dating it back to the establishment of the EU. The course enables the students to learn the Ankara treaty, Association Agreement, Customs Union and the phases of Turkey's association with the EU. The course furnishes the students with an understanding of Turkey's relations with the EU from political, economical and social points of view
Course Content
This course analyses Turkey's relations with the EU from political, economical, cultural and social dimensions. It provides the historical background of these relations dating it back to the establishment of the EU. The course covers the Ankara treaty, Association Agreement, Customs Union and the phases of Turkey's association with the EU. Turkey's position in the EU's enlargement process, and Turkish candidacy are also elaborated in detail
