Course Goal / Objective

Objective of the course is to teach students the development of the profession, personal and professional values and professional responsibilities; make them conscious of the midwifery profession and facilitate higher learning harmony by developing the appreciation of the profession.

Definition of Midwifery and sociological feature, Basic concepts in midwifery (Human, Family, Environment), Historical development of midwifery in the World,Historical development of midwifery in Turkey,Purpose and philosophy of midwifery, Midwifery and the European Union in Turkey
