Course Goal / Objective

Aim of the course is protecting the mental health of elderly individuals and the ability to use related interventions in mental disorders in elderly people.

Mental Health and Mental Health Disorders, Defense Mechanism, Maturation Period and Psychological Changes in Aging Process, General Symptoms of Mental Illness, Therapeutic Communication, Mood Disorders in Elderly, Neurotic, Stress-related Somatoform Disorders, Abuse, Chronic Alcoholism and Related Approach, Psychotic Disorders, Ethical and Legal Issues in Psychiatry
