Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to explore the definition and significance of mental health, history of mental health, related theories to mental health, the properties of individuals who are heathy and unhealty, diagnosis and treatment of the behavior and adaptation problems of children, the effects of special family situations to children's mental health.

Course Content

Definition and significance of mental health, history of mental health, related theories to mental health, the properties of individuals who are heathy and unhealty, diagnosis and treatment of the behavior and adaptation problems of children (such as stuttering, mutism, enürezis), enkoprezis, thumb sucking, nail biting, agresivenes, fidgeting, stubborness, jealousy, sleep disorders, eating disorders, fear, hyperactivity and attention disorder, school fobia, stealing, lying), the effects of special family situations (divorce, steppe parents, death of a parent) to children's mental health.
