Course Goal / Objective
To teach the students general knowledge about the science of geology.
Course Content
Theoretical: Introduction of Geology, Origin of the Earth and Solar System, crystal and minerals, rock cycle, rocks: magmatic, metamorphic and sedimentary, geological time and fossils, Earth's internal structure, plate tectonics, earthquakes, Geological Structures, mass movements, hydrological cycle, geological resources . Laboratory: Crystal systems, minerals, rocks, fossils, topographic sections, geological sections.
