Course Goal / Objective
To explain the formation and causes of natural disasters occurring on earth and to teach us how to protect them with minimum damage.
Course Content
General information about the course, Natural Disasters, Characteristics and Types, Earthquakes, intensity and magnitude of earthquakes, Seismic waves, Earthquake Parameters, Hyposantr and Episantr, Significant earthquake zones in our country and in the world, Earthquake Forecast and prediction, Earthquake Warning Systems, Protection from earthquake, Tsunami, Tsunami warning systems and precautions to be taken, Damaging Effects of volcanism and precations, Mass movements and affecting factors, Precautions to Reduce the Effect of Landslides.
