Course Goal / Objective

Giving information about basic principles of woolen, worsted and semi-worsted spinning and production methods. wool spinning processes and machines, teaching basic information in order to plan manufacturing and selection of suitable raw material for required yarn production, selection of suitable machine setting for required production, product planning and manufacturing, to gain knowledge about woolen fabric types

Status of Wool Fiber in the World and Usage Areas, Structure and Properties of Wool: Chemical Structure and Properties of Wool, Physical Structure and Properties of Wool, Classification of Wool According to its Properties. Sorting and Sorting, Washing, Drying Processes, Wool Spinning Systems: Worsted Spinning, Semi-Worsted Spinning, Straygarn Spinning, Woolen Fabric Names and Properties, Finishing Processes Applied to Woolen Fabrics
