Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to give the students the basic theoretical knowledge of structures, synthesis, structure-activity relationships, mode of action, biotransformations and pharmacological activities of chemotherapeutic agents.
Course Content
General structures, nomenclatures, synthesis, structure-activity relationships, mode of actions and biotransformations of antiseptic, disinfectant, antiprotozoal (antimalarial, antiemobic, antileishmanial, antitrichomonal, antitrypanosomal), anti-ectoparasitic, antihelmintic, antifungal, antimycobacterial, antibacterial, antineoplastic and antiviral compounds.
