Course Goal / Objective

Gives to the students a basic concept on the various methods used in qualitative and quantitative analysis of the drugs. Also this course contains the applications of qualitative and quantitative methods in drug analysis.

Course Content

The course contains the quantitative analysis methods (titrimetric methods; neutralization, oxydo-reduction, complexometric, nitritometric titrations and spectrophotometric methods) and their applications in pharmaceutical formulations and applications of the chemical methods used in qualitative analysis of drugs.

LO04 The student who completes this course learn different quantitative analysis methods such as titrimetric on the drug substances.
LO05 The student who completes this course learn quantitative analysis on raw material and pharmaceutical product.
LO06 The student who completes this course learn how to do determination and quantitative analysis of some drugs metabolites in urine.
