Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to establish a background for the students by providing a basic knowledge about the classification, synthesis, SAR and metabolism of major CNS and Antiinflammatory Analgesic drugs.

Course Content

CNS drugs (general anesthetics, local anesthetics, sedatives-hypnotics, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, antiepileptics, centrally acting muscle relexants) and antiinflammatory analgetics and their classification, synthesis, structure-activity relationships and metabolites
