Course Goal / Objective
learns the potential of agricultural sources in Turkey field crops protection systems,soil management in dry farming,fertilization and maintenance,Irrigated Agriculture,Description and Regulations of Organic Farming.The size and the developmen ts of organic farming in Turkey and in the world,the importance of crop rotation systems,crop rotation systems in dry agriculture,The biologic variety of green fertilization,natural plant growth and pest control
Course Content
Ecological regions of Turkey. Irrigated and dry land farming. Tillage,fallowing, planting,sowing and fertilizing in dryland , irrigated farming applications.Crop Rotation Systems in Irrigated farming What is organic farming , The origins and notions, certified organic principles, (biodiversity, diversification and integrations of enterprises, sustainability, natural plant nutrition, integrity) tool and practices (planned crop rotation, green manure and cover crops, manuring and composting, intercropping and companion planting, tillage, mulching, beirational pesticides, buffers and barriers record-keeping.
