Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to study, history and interpretation of plastic works belonging to western Anatolia, Hellenic and Aegean islands civilizations and to establish inter-cultural relations.

Course Content

This course aims to examine the art of sculpture in western Anatolia, Hellen and Aegean islands with all its features and to establish historical and cultural relations with style and typological comparisons.

LO06 The differences and similarities between the Classical Period and Hellenistic Period.
LO07 It is taught that the plastic arts of the Late Hellenistic Period and the plastic arts of the Roman Period are compared and interpreted.
LO08 The characteristics of philosophers and sculptors who influence the Hellenistic art features are taught.
