Course Goal / Objective

Comprehending the relationships between (1) the ways in which archaeological sites form, (2) research questions, (3) appropriate methods and techniques for finding and excavating sites.

Course Content

Basic concepts and goals of prehistoric archaeology; geomorphological, taphonomic, anthropogenic and other factors in archaeological site formation; different approaches to discovery and excavation of different kinds of sites.
