Course Goal / Objective
Understanding theoretical contents of reading skills, gaining awareness on problems of reading education, understanding reading skills in terms of achievements, activities, methods-techniques, assessment and evaluation approaches in the context of Turkish curriculums, understanding the importance of metacognition and critical reading in reading education, recognizing reading dificulties, understanding about effective factors on gaining of reading habit.
Course Content
Theoretical contents of reading skills, problems of reading education, history of reading education, achievements, activities, methods and tecniques, measurements and evaluation elements related to reading skills in the curriculums that have been implented since 2006, metacognition on reading education , critical reading and reading difficulties, gaining the habit of reading.
