Course Goal / Objective

To develop mathematics teacher candidates abilities regarding how to teach geometry and measurement effectively.

Course Content

Van Hiele thinking levels; basic geometric concepts, geometric structures, geometric bodies; accompaniment and similarity; transformation geometry, projections, patterns and ornaments, fractas; Pythagoras theorem; of measuring the teaching of its nature, time, length, area, volume and angle measurement subjects (arranging the course content using teaching materials and strategies etc.); student knowledge on these subjects (not related to concepts understanding and interpreting student thinking about the subject; student difficulties, mistakes, misconceptions and knowing the reasons); The relationship of these issues with daily life and other lessons.
