Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the basic knowledge and application areas of nanotechnology, and the current research in this new and interdisciplinary technology.

Course Content

History of nanotechnology, Nano dimension, micro to nanotechnology, Basic concepts of quantum physics, Nano wires, nano rods, 0D, 1D, 2D, Nano structure synthesis methods, Nano-size thin film coating methods, Nano pattern production methods, Nano device production techniques , defined techniques of nanostructures, Microscopic identification Methods (SEM, AFM, STM, TEM), carbon nanotube structures and the importance of carbon nanotube production techniques and applications, applications in various disciplines of nanostructures, current research, and the resulting products in nanotechnology, the position of Turkey nanotechnology field.
