Course Goal / Objective

Students learn color and weave effects for weaving design and they study surfaces for woven fabrics. Designing fabrics by using striped, pier de poule and star effects in view of a selected theme. Students comprehend design process for woven fabric and how to use color and weave effects for fabrics such as apparel or home textile.

Course Content

Color and weave effects are taught. Students draw sketches in view of selected themes. After choosing a sketch for ultimate design, material, density, draft plans are prepared and weaving process is completed.
