Course Goal / Objective

This is a two term course which teaches the micro foundations of the economy

Course Content

In this module; problems of economic systems, economic events, sides of economic events and their modes of behaviors, consumer theory and profit maximization, profit maximization theory of the firm, firms decision-making processes in different markets and the factor markets will be analyzed.

LO02 Understand production decision by firm, factors of production and cost of production, short and long term decisions and short and long term costs, and their impacts on profits.
LO03 Gain knowledge about functions of markets in economy, perfect and imperfect competition, and their importance on consumer wealth, along with policy options to correct the markets.
