Course Goal / Objective

Learning the one dimensional structural members and their behaviors, learning the calculating of internal forces

Course Content

Basic concept of structural engineering, basic definitions in bar systems, drawing of diagrams of cross sectional effects, calculation of systems according to moving forces. Behaviour of different beams under static and moving loads. Influence lines for structures. Gerber beams. Arches and structures with three hinges. Truss systems
