Course Goal / Objective
Students learn the basic concepts of child psychology and developmental explanations about childhood characteristics; It is aimed to evaluate the child's place in family and school systems within the framework of biopsychosocial approach and to have information about childhood adaptation and behavior problems.
Course Content
Basic concepts, history and methods of child psychology; prenatal development; infancy development areas and features; first childhood developmental areas and features; developmental areas and characteristics of the last childhood; child in the family structure; child in the school system; childhood adaptation and behavior problems; children with special needs.
