Course Goal / Objective

To enable disabled individuals receiving inclusive education to participate in active physical education lessons and physical activities with their typically developing peers.

Course Content

Definition of disability, causes and types of disability (down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, learning disability, hearing, vision, mental disability, etc.), teaching methods used in physical education and sports classes and physical activities of disabled individuals receiving inclusive education , adapted physical education definition, adaptations and examples, individual education program (IEP) and examples, adapted physical education project applications.
