Course Goal / Objective

Learn fundamentals of dental implantology in daily practice

Course Content

History of dental implants and terminology, Dental and clinical evaluation, Medical and radiological evaluation, Recent technological improvements in dental implant treatment planning, Classification of full and partial edentulousness,Biomaterials of dental implants, Biomechanics in dental implants, anatomical and physicological evaluation in dental implant applications, hard and soft tissuesaround implants, implant placement protocols and second stage surgery, early biological events after implant placement, Presurgical augmentation procedures, treatment options in full and partial edentulousness, Dental implant occlusion, preparation of surgical guide, maintaining soft tissues around dental implants and periimplantitis, Dental implant plastic surgery, success criterias of dental implants, case discussions.
