Course Goal / Objective
To find solutions to the problems encountered in agriculture by applying the basic principles of economics; To interprete and evaluation of the annual performance of farms and agriculture related industries
Course Content
Major issues and concepts related to agricultural economics; development process in agriculture; distinguishing properties of agricultural sector and its product; agriculture and economic growth and development: the situation in the world and Turkey; main economic concepts and principles in agricultural economics; agricultural production factors and their properties; measuring annual performance of farms and analysis of the results of annual activities; preparation and analysis of balance sheet for farms; farm management; agricultural marketing; agricultural and food policies; organisation in agricultre and agricultural cooperatives.
