Course Goal / Objective

Presenting people's anthropological, cognitive and linguistic perspectives on birds in an interdisciplinary context with natural scientific approaches.

Course Content

Ethnoornitoology studies the relationship between humans and birds. In a broader sense, it explores how bird names are given, how birds are perceived in the context of folklore (belief, rituals, etc.), art and literature.
