Course Goal / Objective
Physical - chemical properties and groups of minerals will be given to students. The student will learn how to identify the most common minerals in hand specimen.
Course Content
Definition and history of mineralogy, physical and chemical properties of minerals, Native elements, Sulfides and sulfosalts, Oxides and hydroxides, Carbonates, Nitrates, Borates, Wolframites, Molybdates, Phosphates, Vanadates and Silicates.
