Course Goal

The purpose is to make students use work safety and regulations in their own disciplines. Students should be able to take preventions with their work safety knowledge.

Course Content

Establishing workplace, regulations of workplace and its attachments, Fire, Electricity, First aid and rescue, Personal protective equipment, Safety and health symbols, Emenrgency plan, Work safety and health at design, manufacturing and usage of working equipment, Education work safety and health in workplace, standards and communication, Heavy and high risk industries, Regulations dealing with occupational work safety

LO01 The students should be able to understand required conditions of work safety in workplace and should be able to use regulations dealing with work safety
LO02 The students should be able to command fire, electricity, first aid and rescue concepts
LO03 The students should be able to plan personal protective equipment, safety and health symbols, emergency situation
LO04 The students should be able to understand design, education certificates, OHSAS 18001 (TS 18001), work safety and health standard
LO05 The students should be able to understand and apply dealing with their own occupational regulations
LO06 Has basic knowledge of standardization safety, law of health and safet
LO07 Ensuring that the basic rules and current regulations related to occupational health and safety are mastered.
