Course Goal
Understanding the importance of thinking and need for thinking, classifying thinking skills, critical thinking among high-level thinking skills, realizing the classroom environment, teacher and student characteristics required for critical thinking, comprehending the dimensions, standards and virtues of critical thinking, understanding the importance of critical reading and the need for critical reading, critical comprehending the need for reading and the importance of critical reading, learning the concepts of critical reading, recognizing the qualities of the critical reader and the barriers of critical reading and the criteria for critical reading, comprehending the relationship between critical reading and Turkish course curriculum, comprehending critical reading self-efficacy.
Course Content
Need for thinking, classification of thinking skills, classroom environment that supports thinking, teacher characteristics and student behaviors, dimensions of critical thinking, standards, virtues, importance of critical reading, basic concepts of critical reading, qualities of critical reader and barriers to critical reading, criteria for critical reading, critical reading and Turkish lesson curriculum relationship, critical reading self-efficacy.
