Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to be able to select and install individual air conditioning systems and teach how to operate and maintenance of central air conditioning systems.

Course Content

SI international unit system, unit conversions, physical and thermal quantities (Mass, force, weight, pressure, volume, temperature, density, heat, enthalpy), mass and heat transfer, atmosphere, climate and air, air pollution, humidity (Absolute humidity, relative humidity), psychrometry and wet air diagrams, calculation examples in ASHRAE psychrometric diagram, heat and people, air temperature, air humidity, ventilation and air conditioning, partial operations on air (Cleaning, refreshing , heating, cooling, humidification, drying), ventilation and air conditioning devices and systems (Fans, air filters, air heaters, air coolers, air humidifiers, drip traps, silencers, blowers), central type ventilation systems (System for ventilation only, air heating systems, air cooling system, air humidification systems, air conditioning systems), local ventilation systems (window ventilation systems, split type ventilation systems), air ducts, junctions of air ducts, parts of air ducts, cylindrical and oval aluminum ducts, position of blowers on the duct.
