Course Goal

To introduce basic concepts of Statistics; to enable students to gain skills in sorting data, presenting the compiled data in a meaningful and understandable way, building relations between them, and making comments on the findings with the help of the statistics.

Course Content

Definition of statistics, importance in human life and scientific researches. Summarizing data, showing as tables and graphics. Descirptive statistics, probability and statistical distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, the relationships between the variables, linear corelation and regression
